Imam Reza holy shrine has launched construction of Imam Ali portico on the occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) in a special ceremony having many national and provincial officials including custodian of the shrine in attendance.

Shrine launches construction of Imam Ali Portico
The new portico is planned to be constructed somewhere between Ghadir, Islamic Republic, and Holy Prophet courtyards of the shrine.
Increasing roofed places of the shrine, consolidating structures of the Jumhuri Islami courtyard, adding a 6000-square-meter space for ceremonies of the complex, and easing pilgrimage process are among most important reasons behind constructing this new portico.
This 13000-meter portico has a 7000 square meter roofed space and 6000 open space.
